A nice complete specimen of the brittle starfish Protaster from the Ordovician Period Lanvirn Hefall Sandstone, Mercissi, Morocco.
Preserved with all five arms on a slab of hard sandstone with many other echinoderm remains on the slab 425 million years old.
The starfish is approx 5 cms, the slab is 12 cms in length and 2.5 cms thick. The fossil comes labelled and with a free display stand.
